Squashed tomato stew

Chaos HQ is currently lobbing tomatoes at unfortunate pedestrians from the window of Truffle's previously immaculate grown-up flat. Which is to say, please check out my gazpacho guest post over at Cinnamon & Truffle!
Cure for the summertime blues.

But as a warning: don't try to read C&T on an empty stomach. I tried this recently, and now my keyboard looks like a surfboard that's been through shark-infested waters. Although in fairness this may have more to do with mt sharp-toothed pair of short people.

Bon appetit!

  1. Thank you Rachel for your fab post! And for sharing a family secret recipe. Not many people are as generous. C&T really appreciate it.

  2. My pleasure! Though I must give all credit to our lovely Great-grandma Barbara, and her culinary genius.

Hope any residual tomato-spatter damage to your lovely blog is not lasting ;)

  3. Mhmmm... the flavour reminds me a bit of... HP Lovecraft... Haha. Thanks for playing! :-)
On a more serious note, I can't get my little one to eat one single tomato. But then, she's obsessed with everything green. Broccoli, rocket, peas, cucumbers... I shouldn't moan, really.

  4. Have you tried fried green tomatoes? I had a similar colour aversion scheme going when I was pregnant: loved all things green, hated all things red.

Now that you mention it, I can TOTALLY see the Lovecraftian qualities in tomato soup. Henceforth I will be watching for Dagon with every spoonful...

    Thanks for following :)
